Is Simmons playing for the Bobcats in the 26/27 season ?

F Javan Simmons

F Zay Mosley
F Kiir Kuany

G Che Brogan

F Seibe Ledegen
F Dušan Makitan
G Carter Reese
They have video and some pics up of the team. They do this every summer and every summer I get excited at the potential! D'Augustino looks huge. Simmons looks thinned down and Mitchell looks bigger than I thought. Mosley looks like a guy who has been busting it the past year so I hope he can be a part of this team. Guessing he was told as much because he stuck around. Bowens is rail thin still which won't help him.
Can Bowens handle the rock well enough without getting his pocket picked to play some at the 2 spot? Unless Boals pulls a rabbit out of hat and brings in a late bloomer h.s. guy or juco or whatever, that might help with depth.
I was a little surprised we didn't go after the Westerville kid that went D-2. He was a prolific 3 point shooter? The Division II state and district Player of the Year, McCree averaged 20.0 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.3 steals last season. Also skinny as a rail. Beyond skinny iirc.
Call me crazy but here is what I am hoping for this team and if it comes to fruition or better, I think we can be pretty good:
1. D'Augustino and Mitchell are at least a poor man's Reef and Hunter combo
2. Ledegen is at least Senior Ivo
3. Javan is Toledo Sophomore Javan
4. Dusan is scrappy but cleaner version of Craptain Chaos
5. Kuany is Jon Smith Lite
6. Icke is athletic Wiz
7. Mosley is more powerful TJ Hall
8. Burris is Travis Wilkins
9. Brogan is more athletic and taller Tommy Schmock
10. Bowens is NOT any of: Fisher, Khari Harley, Wadley, Khadeem Green..you get the picture
I'll have what you're smoking.
I look at this roster and I see 2.5 sure things: Simmons, KDGA, and Mitchell. While Reef and Hunter individually were good, I wasn't in love with them on the floor together, and I feel the same way towards our two new transfer guards. I don't believe either are better than Pav, but I am willing to bank on them being an improvement offensively than the combination of Pav and Sheldon.
I have good gut feelings towards Ledegen and Dusan. I think they are starting and impactful, but truth is they are a mystery.
Bowens, Brogan, Mosley, and Icke are complete unknowns. Found money if any of them make an impact.
Until we fill at least one of these scholarships, the season, to me hinges on Kuany and Burris being good sixth men/fringe starters. Burris needs to be a reliable knock down shooter. How long has it been since we had a true "uh-oh" three point shooter? Dartis? Can Burris be that guy? Kuany has the tools but just repeatedly got lost on defense and that' gonna keep you on the bench.
Usually when we go into the season and I perceive a weakness, that weakness comes to light. We need a utility guard. A Ric Johnson, Whitney Davis, Mike Laster. We don't have one right now. What do we do when one of our guards goes down with an injury? What about two guards?
