I'm anxious to see the start of the season schedule. Not going to judge the coaching staff if it resembles the past this season (probably had limited time), but going forward I hope we are done with unimpressive southern trips.

Schedules are usually done 1-2 yrs in advance in baseball, some games even further out than that.

and UMass, but we are not listed on the released schedules for Tennessee or ND.  Rhode Island and UMass have not released there schedules.  If no one else is there, then I would guess our other games would be with Rhode Island and UMass, but that is just a guess at this point.

Other teams at the Keith Leclair Classic are New Mexico State and Boston College.  I know we are not listed on East Carolinas schedule, so I would assume that our other games that weekend are New Mexico State and Boston College.  A little tough early start, especially for an untested pitching staff.

I'm not sure if this is Carbone's or Smiths work but the schedule seems upgraded from years past. Illinois, Kentucky, VT, BC, NMSU..all good opponents.

I think this year, I would rather see Davidson, Presbyterian, IPFW and Lehigh.  The ones listed in the quote above starting next year.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Here's an article about the USA Tournament. Notre Dame is the host.

Really guys, does it matter?  Let's not get that started in this thread.  It has been beat to death and accomplishes nothing but bad feelings.  Let's just support our baseball team.

The non conference schedule is a nice mix of good teams and winnable games. Much improved from past years. Its nice to see some new programs added and no Otterbeins and West Virginia States again. Now we just need a real spring trip and we're set. I imagine that will come in the next few years.

What happened to Otterbein, WV State, Ohio Wesleyan, & Rio Grande?  How are we going to inflate our stats playing all D1 teams?

What happened to the Michigan game?  6-4-3 reported that we had scheduled a game at Ann Arbor and it doesn't show on schedule.

I got that off the Michigan schedule.  Their schedule still has us there on 4/24.  Our schedule shows vs. Marshall on 4/24.  Looks like a screw up somewhere.  If I have to guess, I would say we keep the home and home with Marshall.  With the coaching changes at both Michigan and Ohio, there was probably some miscommunication along the way.

Their back!  Picked up Otterbein for mid-week, they cancelled so we called Rio Grande.  Is Carbone doing this schedule?

Rio is 15-27, having pretty much only beaten branch campuses.  In their league they are 4-15 I believe, not much to see here folks.

They'd probably find a way to lose the intersquad game
