If we win and require only 1 game, but the other side of the bracket requires 2 games (therefore our opponent in the championship has 1 loss)...That is irrelevant, right? Championship is 1 game winner take all?

No, that is the best-case scenario because then Ohio would have to be defeated twice. If both teams have either 0 or 1 losses, then it's just one game, winner takes all.

What a great ball park to watch baseball ! I was a bit surprised that we did not have much of a turn-out from our Cleveland alumni base ! Hey Bobcat fans in northern ohio, get over to Avon and enjoy watching the Bobcats play on Saturday morning, 9:30 versus the winner of Western vs BG.!
This team and coaching staff deserves more support as they battle for their ticket to the Big Dance, the NCAA tourney !
Great to visit with former Bobcat shortstop Rick Bullock who was at the game. Rick played on one of the great Bobcat teams back in the mid 60's for Coach Bob Wren. Rick is a McArthur, Ohio native, currently living in So Cal, with plans to relocate to Athens in the near future. It was cool to enjoy our current Bobcat teams' quest to win a MAC championship sitting with a former champion !
Go Bobcats ! Let's win it !

Also looks like if we win the morning game and the other side of the bracket is forced to play a second game, it does not start until 8:00 - long time to hang out at the park - would they start that game earlier if our side of the bracket does not require an afternoon session?

I would think they'd move it up but I don't know that for sure. When's the last time Ohio has made it to Saturday in the tournament? It's obvious it's been a while.

It'd be great for Ohio to win the first game tomorrow and for the other bracket winner to take a loss. Not only would that team have to beat Ohio twice, but they'd have to do it with two straight days of doubleheaders. Of course, if Ohio loses the first game tomorrow and then wins, it could be in that same tough spot.

If Ohio wins tomorrow, I'm planning to go Sunday. I'd like to go tomorrow but I have a morning obligation.

And it will be BG after it beat WMU 5-3. BG's pitcher went the distance today, and the Falcons had to use only one reliever for 1 2/3 inning yesterday, so I'm sure that helps its bullpen situation.

#8 Akron eliminated #4 Toledo, 2-1, and will face #5 Ball State in the second (and hopefully third) game Saturday.

So...if for example, both Ohio and Ball State go into the Championship game undefeated...is it just ONE game, winner take all? Or if we win do we have to beat them again??

I believe it's winner-take-all if both teams have 0 or 1 loss. So the best-case scenario is for Ball State to lose the next game and have a loss already.

As for right now, I hope people are watching how great Sitz has been.

That's the way I understand it as well. Really need Ball St. to lose. Because if they do, they would have to play Akron again tonight. So Ohio could potentially get a tired-arm Akron or Ball St. team.

A strikeout swinging for the final out of a no-hitter for Sitz. Bobcats are going to the MAC Championship game with a 6-0 win.

Unbelievable, Akron rallies with 8 in the 9th. Whoever wins the next game will have to top the Bobcats twice tomorrow.
