Kent State beat Miami 4-3 so now the Flashes have a 1-game lead on Ohio and and Akron.

Great win on Friday. Winning 1-0 in the bottom of the ninth after a very well pitched games by both teams was very exciting to watch! Way to go Ohio .

Bobcats take the second game 6-1 over the Zips! Trailed 1-0 in first, but not for long. Took a 2-1 lead and then never looked back. Ohio is playing very well ! Go Cats !

Awesome starts by Miller and Sitz. I'm starting to think MAC East Champs, let's keep it going!

Ohio already has won as many games this year as the last two combined.

Rudnicki was solid and Cozart was his usual self, pitching the final 4 innings. The Bobcats had a four-run fifth inning and earned a sweep of the Zips with a 5-3 win to improve to 11-7 in the MAC. Akron dropped to 9-9. Kent State is in progress with Miami with an 11-6 record right now to lead the East.

Kudos to the team and the coaching staff. I have to admit that I was not sold on the coach before this year. He has done a really nice job this year and has proven me wrong. Congratulations on the turn-a- round.

This is Smith's third year I think, but it's still a great turnaround. I wouldn't be surprised if Saul did it as well, but I'm guessing it will take him 3 years.

The Friday game was awesome in person. I actually like low-scoring pitching duels, and you can't beat 1-0 in a walk-off. Wells had been robbed twice in that game, it was good to see him come through with the clutch winning hit.

100% Cat...I agree with your thoughts on the Friday 1-0 walk-off win. I have been watching Ohio baseball for more years than most, and this game was one of the best played games from both teams that I can remember. Both starting pitchers deserved a Win. Cozart's work in relief was awesome. Came in to the game with bases loaded and only 1 out and somehow worked his way out of it with zero runs .... great job. The clutch hit by Wells was over the top !
This team is gaining confidence and they continue to move forward and up in the standings. Fun to watch !
