We had a guy try to sue my legion baseball team because his house was behind our field and a foul ball cracked his siding. The field was built before his house. The judge told him not to build his house in a creek if he doesn't want to get flooded.

This reminds me of the time an OU truck backed into my side door panel while I was waiting in the Wendy's drive-through lane. APD came out and the driver of the OU truck was clearly at fault and cited in the police report. OU exercised its claim of sovereign immunity, forced my insurance company to pay and would not even pay my deductible. I protested this all the way up the chain of command but got no satisfaction. The moral of this story is that I should have hired the same lawyer as the guy in this article. Live and learn.
