I see where Marc is batting .500 (9 for 18)in 13 games for the LA Angels so far this Spring. That's great !!! I hope he keeps it going.

Unfortunately, he's been out a while with back spasms. He's said to be fighting with Efren Navarro for a final bench outfield spot for the Angels.

The Angels beat writer for the OC Register is a lurker and infrequent poster on this board.

He's also a former Bobcat...

He should get my 8 year old son a Mike Trout autograph!

I follow Marc's stats almost daily, he is struggling early, but hopefully it is jut a little bad luck and he gets it going soon.

Marc has been given some opportunities of late but he's not hitting. He was 0 for Fenway last weekend in the two games he played. He was behind fastballs and struggled with the Bosox knuckler. Angels are looking for lefty batters and hopefully Marc gets it going or his stay in the majors may be short.

Go Marc. Go Sox.

Angels Designate Marc Krauss For Assignment

By Steve Adams [May 28, 2015 at 5:11pm CDT]

The Angels have designated Marc Krauss for assignment, tweets Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. The first baseman/outfielder had options remaining, Fletcher notes, but the team needed a 40-man roster spot for Alfredo Marte, whose contract was selected today. It was previously expected that Krauss would be optioned to Triple-A following the team’s acquisition of Kirk Nieuwenhuis from the Mets.

That is a bummer. Unlikely that he will be claimed, meaning he loses his 40 man roster spot. He'll get a minor league deal somewhere, but he'll have to bust out big time to get back on the 40 man. Those spots are coveted a lot harder than you might think.

Traded to Tampa Bay, seems as if he was added to roster.

He was designated for assignment and claimed by the Tigers. Probably will fill in some for the injured Miguel Cabrera.

Krauss will have a few days off while he is on the paternity list. Congrats to him on that! He's just 2-for-18 for the Tigers, though, with a home run, 2 RBIs, 1 run and 8 strikeouts.

Too bad he is bouncing around so much. He's getting up there in age. But, seems like he should be able to play a few more years as AAA depth for a team.

I saw that he just signed a minor league deal with the Mets. So I can doubly root for him now...

I never like to root against a Bobcat, but I do have my limits!

Go Cubs!

Marc hit a walk-off home run for the Mets' Triple A farm club in Las Vegas Thursday nite, the team's home opener...
