The turf is an awesome addition, and will allow more outside practice time and home games played.

Love everything about this project. Turf was needed, BADLY. The infield at the Wren was downright dangerous to take a ground ball on and it just seemed as if the financial commitment to maintaining the playing surface was minimal at best.

With that being said, the massive project name on the first base line is an eye sore. I've played at many, many, college stadiums that are turf and have never seen a dedication like that. I'm very grateful that the Nicholson family made such a generous donation but it just looks tacky. I guess I'm splitting hairs but I'd be interested in hearing the story behind that decision...

It's very stupid.

If it means we get beautiful top notch turf surface for free that will allow our program to get more reps in that lead to success, they could've put a Miami Redhawk on the foul line for all I care. This is awesome news.

For free? Also, its only the infield. The outfield is so worn down that its almost 50% mud and 50% patchy grass.

Oh man, the outfield is huge too. We could divide it into thirds and put cheesy text in each section there too.
