# The lowest seed to advance from games four & five will play in a game six (e.g. low is 6 seed) and the higher seed to advance from games four and five (e.g., high is 1 seed) will play in game 7. However, if No. 1 and No. 2 seeds both lose in games four and five, they will play each other in Game 6 with the advancing team facing the winner of game 3 in game 7. Exception: if one of the game 4 or 5 losers already has had a bye, that team will play in Game 6 regardless of seed.

Getting a win in this game would be huge. If Ohio loses, it has to win five in a row to take the title in the strange setup the tournament has. A win here means that as few as two more wins could be enough for a MAC title.

The thing about most double-elim tourneys is that losing the second game is damn near as bad as losing the first. so Yeah, winning today is critical.

Ogg tossing a complete game yesterday was massive. Another key to tournament play is having fresh arms in the pen.

Kutt got light up in the 1st, down 4-0 early. Time to mount a comeback.

The Bobcats continued to hit much better than they have throughout most of the season but the pitching got rocked and the Bobcats lost 18-9.

Ohio faces Miami in an elimination game at 10 a.m. Friday. If they win, they get Northern Illinois immediately after at 2 p.m. Win that and they would face the final loser from the winner's bracket (Central Michigan or Ball State) at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Then that winner goes to the final at 6 p.m. Saturday and has to win that and then another game Sunday to take the championship.

2-2 after 5. A Miami error with 2 outs in the 5th paved the way for the Bobcats to score 2.

To the 17th! Pushing six hours long now. I was wondering how much of Ohio's potential second game I might miss while covering a track meeting this evening. I'm probably going to have to leave before the first game is over and might get back in time for the end of a second game if there is one for Ohio.

Whoever wins is going to have almost no shot in the rest of the tournament with all the pitching used here today, but I still want Ohio to win.

Miami's Mackay Williams dove into the side of the stadium trying to catch a foul ball earlier, and that delayed the game probably 20 minutes. It sounds like he's probably going to be OK. A big cut and probably a concussion but hopefully nothing more.

Ohio's had two runners thrown out at the plate. I hope this is Ohio's chance. Two guys on now for the Bobcats, no outs.

I started listening to this game earlier in the day. Great game but I think I am older now than when I started listening to the game, it was that long....lol.

Bobcats seemed to run out gas ... and pitching ... at the end of a 6-3 loss to Northern Illinois, but still a strong showing.
