Looks like Joe Rock pitched a no-hitter (7 innings) in the first game against Morehead State today. Two walks and six strikeouts per the box score. Also no errors by the Bobcats.

First of all, it's amazing to have baseball played in Ohio in February.

Ohio's pitching was very good for both games, but Morehead State won the second game 3-1 in 11 innings. Bobcats have pitched extremely well so far, but offense has struggled (no home runs yet in five games and only 19 runs).

Bobcats are hosting Wisconsin-Milwaukee in a four-game series this weekend.

Does anyone know, given DeWine’s allowance of limited attendance to take place effective March 1, if the university (and/or the MAC I suppose) is considering permitting public admittance for baseball and softball? It would be nice to take in a live sporting event in what would have to be considered a very safe environment (if people use reasonable precautions).

Congrats to Joe Rock on the no hitter, can't wait to see if he is able to keep it up for dominant season.

I am wondering the same thing on attendance for baseball and would like to go to the doubleheader Saturday if possible.

The MAC has listed attendance to only family members of the players. Silly rule when you can be socially distanced throughout the park.

Well this works out because Joe Rock is a distant cousin of mine. That line of the family was sick of having a last name that rhymes with the most offensive word in the language so they switched to Rock.
