Bobcats salvage 1 of 3 at Radford to open the season. All games were close (L 7-3, L 4-2, W 7-5). Being 2 years removed from a true college baseball season is hard to assess who is who, but generally Radford is fairly solid so 1 of 3 at their place is nothing to get upset about.

All 3 Bobcat starters had decent outings and a 4th (Kutt) threw 5 innings of relief for the win. SS Joe Weisenseel (Penn St transfer) shined at the plate with 5 hits. Harry Witwer-Dukes, who I know nothing about, went 4 for 7 with 2 extra base hits.

Ambitiously scheduled home opener against Morehead St on Friday. Looking at the forecast it actually appears they have a shot at getting it in.
