Nice start to the season winning 3 of 4 on the road. Pitching looks good with a fine back of the bullpen. Very encouraging.

.211 average in the first four games isn't great, but pitching was very good. Kelly and Libaratore had really nice starts. Lots of bullpen innings used and mostly good relief outings. Manis was dominant with seven strikeouts in three innings.

The offense is what needed drastic improvement from last year. They didn't hit the crap out of the ball this weekend but seemed to get some timely hitting with runners on. That's all it takes. We don't need to have a team average at .300+ if they can get the job done when runners are on.

When I spoke with the coaching staff over the winter, multiple coaches said they were really excited in what was happening with the pitching. Great opening weekend for the depth of the staff.
