It must have been a ridiculously uncomfortable home series this weekend...the wind was brutal...but they got them all in as scheduled.

Normally you have to win the home series but this is not a bad story as CMU is a really solid team and both losses were NOT of the blowout variety.

Olson & Spoon (both Juniors) appear set in the rotation and both have been not real good, but not horrific. The 3rd starter is up in the air and has generally been bad news, but this weekend resulted in a win behind Mitchell Hemmen with 4 innings and just 2 runs.

Colin Kasperbauer, returning 1st team all-MAC third baseman...is really struggling. Could take that in an encouraging fashion as there has been lots of offense without much from what we thought was our best weapon. Have to figure he will get it going. His OPS has been cut in half from a year ago from 1.040 to .575.

As much as I want to win home series, to win one against the best of the conference is a good accomplishment! Pitching once more hasn't been a strong suit of ours but it seems like our bats are very hot across the lineup this year.
