I think I did this last year, or maybe two years ago, and I was pretty close.

Here is my season prediction:

Road series: (Wins-Losses)
Furman - 0-4
Davidson Tournament 1-3
Tennessee Tech 1-2
Marshall 1-3 (i know two are at home)
Ball State 0-3
Western Mich - 0-3
BG - 0-3
Buffalo - 2-1

Home Series:
Milwaukee - 2-2
Central Mich - 1-2
Northern Illinois - 1-2
Kent State - 0-3
Akron - 1-2
Miami - 0-3

Non Conference Home:
Wins: Cleveland St, WV State, Xavier, Dayton
Losses: EKU, UC, Cleveland State, Ohio State, YSU, WSU

Non Conference Away:
Wins:
Losses:Duke, Pitt

Overall Record:   58 total games - 14 Wins & 44 Losses
*Note that I will also say that we only get in actually 54 games.  I think 4 will be canceled due to weather and will not be rescheduled.

Is going to be a rebuilding year yet again.  We are usually good for about 2-3 good seasons a decade.  Look for the bobcats to make an impact in about 3 years.

And why is that acceptable to the administration, athletic department and fans?

This season's results are really hard to predict!!!    Bobcats are young, pitching got lots of experience last year and should be improved,  but,,,,,, offensive production is going to be way down across the nation as the new new BBCOR bats are being used this year.  Early reports are saying that these bats REALLY SUCK!  Wins are going to be determined by a team's ability to manufacture runs - not sure how this will pan out for the Bobcats.  Defense will be even more important this year as the ball will not be moving through the infield as fast.  Controlling baserunners will also become a bigger point this year.  I think teams will do more bunting, more hit & runs and more base stealing to try to get run production.  Going to be an interesting season.

How did we manage to get that many big schools to agree to a game in Athens?

I am going to go with 30-28.  I have to think that they are progressing with the good recruiting.  I guess we will start to get an idea tomorrow...
