I have my thoughts but let's see what others are thinking.

Are the people voting for Malinowski and See doing it because you think that will happen, or do you actually trust them with this program?

JS better make sure it's not someone from outside OHIO family or he will not see me in Athens again.

Usually you promote within only if the program was actually going in a good direction. Yay for mediocrity!

i was thinking about this, just thought I would throw this out there.
Baseball gets 11.7 scholarships. Instead of dividing up those scholarships among maybe 25 guys (usually carry 35 on a team), why not sink those 11.7 scholarships into 12 players that are 2 way studs?
Then fill the rest of your team out with maybe the next top 7-8 guys on campus (walk-ons).
We already carry quite a few walk ons i believe, and in the past some of our better players were walk-ons.
This way you don't carry 35, which costs more with equipment, meal money, hotel expenses, etc.
Also with fewer players, the coaches can focus more on each player and develop them more efficiently. Practices would be run more effectively and possibly could be shorter so players have more time to study, group projects, etc and the team GPA could go up and our players have better opportunities upon completion of their respected degrees.
I bet some of you ask, why would practices be shorter? Just think, 10-15 extra guys who have no chance of playing don't have to waste time in the batting cages, taking groundballs/flyballs, throwing bullpens, etc.
I think throwing full scholarships at players would attract better talent. Also, in high school, most of the better players do pitch and play positions.
what's the worst that can happen? We don't have a winning record and miss the MAC tourney?

Why not? Isn't the opportunity to expand "the family" a good thing with the right hire?
