Next Wednesday we play tOSU in Athens. At 3-9 in the MAC, we can still make the tournament. However, I think everyone here doesn't expect us to contend for a title. However, what I would like to see if possible is to treat next Wednesday like a weekend Friday game for recruiting purposes. I feel like beating Ohio State would give more notoriety to the program and make the overall bad record not look so bad. Plus, if we can beat Ohio State, we would have beaten 3 of the 4 #1 seeds this year in the NCAA tournament. Oops, wrong forum, but still, if you can tell a recruit you beat Pitt, Duke, Ohio State and WV instead of saying "we went 2 and out in the MAC tournament, finishing in 8th place" I think that is better and gives the program more credibility among other things.

Probably never going to happen in a million years, and instead we'll see the regular weekday routine, but I guess my question is do you think this approach should be considered.

I'm all for it.

Use everything you got, because the following weekend is Kent State who is 23-12 (9-3).  Probably going to lose that series anyways.  I'd like to see the bobcats go all in on this OSU game.

Anyone have any inside scoop whether we are actually going to try to win this one, or treat it like any other mid week non conference game and make the priority to get guys experience.

It was just like any other midweek game in that it's canceled.

To be fair, we usually pull at least 1 mild upset  in the MAC tourney after backing into it.  Then, the "upward momentum" card can be used to explain why nothing changes in the offseason again!

Surely you are not calling out the Ohio Staff with that comment?

Yes, I'm calling out the staff for not forcing the team to play in a thunderstorm.

I remember my senior year there was an O Zone cookout on a night where the game got clouded out.  Looked like a cell was coming but it fell apart right at the end and not a drop of rain fell.

It's been tough to get any game in this month, though.
