I see the official roster is out.  It looks like there are quite a few freshmen on this year's team.

13 freshman. Only 1 from outside the state of Ohio.

6 of the 12 from Ohio went to HS within 80 miles of athens. At least we saved money on the travel recruiting budget.

I don't have a problem recruiting Ohio players, especially from the class of 2010.  This class was one of the best ever in Ohio. These kids also represented the state of ohio very well across the nation during last summer's travel season.   Let's just hope a few of them can make an impact right away for the bobcats!!!

Lots of big, athletic kids in this year's class. Add in that the pitching is much more experienced, we have the makings of a very solid team.

Schedule is out. Overall very weak. Non conf games include Furman, Tenn Tech, Marshall, Davidson, Wisconsin Mil, Cleve St, WVA St, EKU...

Interesting though..OSU comes to town in April. Cant remember the last time they came to Athens. Bob Todd retired and the former Ball St head coach is now the head coach at OSU. Todd never liked carbone. So maybe we can renew this rivalry now that beals is in.

Also interesting..road trip to durham to play duke in march. No other games scheduled in NC or in the area. I'm sure carbone wants to go down and get a few days of practice outdoors before the mac season starts. Not a bad idea.

Over/under on the first "Its early and we're young" quote? I'll go 3/18.

Todd brought his OSU teams to Athens until he got beat, that is when that series stopped, the Cats and Bucks always played a game at Cooper Stadium as well.  Much like WVU dropping us in basketball, love playing us as long as we don't beat them.

As a former OU player with some Duke roots, I always wished we had a chance to play them when I was in school. Is this the same weekend as the NCAA basketball tournament/OU spring break though? If all goes well in basketball I might have a more important place to be that weekend if it is the case.
