From the official site.

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University baseball team will hold a public scrimmage in the first annual #Wrenfest on Wednesday, Sept. 26 inside Bob Wren Stadium. Gates for the event will open up at 5 p.m. with the game beginning at 6 p.m.

Those who attend will be treated to free food from Abrio's and Kiser's. There will also be free haircuts, manicures and pedicures courtesy of Station Street Hair Design.

"Wrenfest will be a great opportunity to get our fans involved with our players in what we hope is going to be a very exciting season," said first-year head coach Rob Smith. "Our players and coaches have been working extremely hard this fall and are looking forward to taking the field in front of our fans."

Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win some great prizes, including an Ohio football helmet autographed by head coach Frank Solich. The final prize of the evening will include a $500 dollar cash give away that will come after the seventh inning. Fans must be present to claim the cash giveaway.

In addition, first-year men's basketball head coach Jim Christian will be on hand to throw out the game's first pitch.

Looks like it will be fun.

If I was in the area I'd love to go, if nothing else than there will probably be a pretty good chance of walking away with a prize.

I hope people show, but a midweek game in the fall will be hard for people to make it to. Hopefully the weather is alright. I did pass the word to some current students and people who live within an hour of the campus.

How does the team look anyway? As much as I like to hear about how much hard work and fun they are having, I also want to know what kind of talent is on the field. Any newcomer really turning heads? What's the rotation look like?
