Not sure if you heard, but Wren was pretty messed up last night. I posted some photos on twitter. Right and left field walls knocked down and badly damaged. Softball field a little dinged up. Tarp was lifted off the field and some other small damages. Copperheads had a game.

If you're in Athens, it's worth driving by to take a look. Both the right and left field walls are completely destroyed. Repairs will likely be in 6 figures between the damage at both fields.

Not sure what the Copperheads will plan on doing...Athens High School, perhaps??

Their website says they'll just play on the road until (if) it's playable

Ahhh, just do it like they did in the old days and use a rope to mark off the wall.

Copperheads are hoping to be back in the Wren by mid month. I posted a ton of photos after it happened. Even OSF was damaged. The walls are the main problem. Will not take six figures I guarantee it.

There's one picture on the Copperheads site

Article says the RF wall got drilled by the tarp roller, which took it down and the roller landed in the softball field. They plan to erect temporary walls apparently.

So....., the replacement will be pretty much the same as the one lying there in the pic, as in not permanently anchored to anything.

I was envisioning the orange plastic mesh so prominent at softball diamonds now.
