Three one-run victories, which was key in the MAC standings. I don't think anyone has a great chance of knocking off Kent State in the tournament, but to have a chance at winning the tournament, it would seem very advantageous to earn the No. 3 seed to be placed in the opposite bracket so that it would come down to beating the Golden Flashes just once.
Right now, Ohio is tied with Central Michigan for that third seed. Didn't have them on the schedule this year, but the Chippewas would have the tiebreaker based on having beaten Kent State once while Ohio got swept. However, the Bobcats have a much more winnable series against Miami (10-14 MAC). Miami might need a win or two to get into the tournament. CMU plays Western Michigan (13-10 MAC). Also in the mix are West leader Toledo (16-8 MAC) and Eastern Michigan (14-10 MAC) and those teams play each other.
Should set up for an interesting final three days.

We were able to attend Sunday's game @ Akron. Nice to watch the third game of the sweep!

Does anyone know if they are planning anything special for Carbone on Sunday?

I do know invites were sent out for a weekend celebration in honor of Joe retiring. I thought the games were Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Will be a good amount of former players, alumni and friends of the program/university in town.

Yeah, Saturday is the day for Coach Carbone. Tonight they said they will be giving away posters and t-shirts to first 300 fans I think.

Ohio needs a win and a Central Michigan loss to get the No. 3 tournament seed. Otherwise, it will be No. 4 and be on the side of the bracket them puts them in a double-elimination tournament with Kent State.

No. 4 Ohio vs. No. 5 Western Michigan after today's results, while No. 1 Kent State faces No. 8 Buffalo. The other bracket will have No. 2 Toledo vs. No. 7 Miami and No. 3 Central Michigan vs. No. 6 Eastern Michigan.
