Well, they battled and fought, however their sticks are in hibernation against any team that has any simblence of DI pitching. Have to keep backing these Cats!

However I do question the loyalty of 6-4-3 who is all about this program when they are rolling out the ugliest hats and logs in North America, and when he's pumping the coaches. However throw a couple of losses on the board and you can't find the guy with a GPS. And Bobcat Mom, you've got all the support in the world in Fall and winter, however times get tough you duck and cover as well! Sad, just sad!

Proves the point the only ones who stick with this program are those who are vested in this program! Casual fans need not apply!

The offense took a hit during the home opener series with Oakland as Taylor Emody was lost for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.  He was leading the team in hitting at the time.

I am not a fair weather fan.  I am highly vested in the program.  I made a decision that I was not going to make comments that people would use to fuel the fire between the old staff and the new staff.  That's just not productive.

Losing Emody, our best hitter early, Black, who was an experienced middle infielder early, and Backstrom, who probably would have been our Friday starter, hurt what was already a thin squad.  The results have not been much worse that I expected this year.  As I said earlier, I believe we will be much better next year and very competetive the year after.

I will  not make any more comments on this board and that does not suggest that I am not vested in the program or care.  It just means I am not going to get into petty bickering that accomplishes nothing.

Hopefully the Bobcats are working hard everyday in practice to get better.  Unfortunately, injuries are part of the deal.  "Next man up", a chance for someone else to answer the bell, and earn a position.  As long as this team is playing fundamentally sound baseball, making improvements, and representing the program and university with CLASS, the fan base will be patient.  The real test of the new staff will be in the evaluating and recruiting of kids who are talented enough to win at this level.  Recruit talented, high character kids, coach them to play the game the right way, and then let's see if we can win our share of games !  Go Bobcats.

You yourself was in that fray when you were posting down at Alums who were in support of Joe back in September. Ohio Baseball is a proud tradition oriented sport, we hope you building these traditions, not run roughshod over them.
