Well after a 1-5 start at home, the Bobcats hit the road and take 2 of 3 at Bowling Green! Admittedly, it appears BG has taken a step back from the last few successful seasons, but we will take any series win of any kind at this point. Best of all, it was behind solid pitching allowing 15 runs over the 3 games. Ball State and Kent coming up, quite possibly the best 2 in the conference. Winning 2 of 6 is a good goal.

Bobcats are 3 - 4 vs teams with former Bobcats (NIU & BGSU) and 0-3 with zero (WMU). Does not bode well for Ball State & Kent but good for Miami series. The CMU, Akron, UMASS run will tell us a lot. Anyway, good to see them win a MAC series before the last series of the year like it took until last year. Nice to see some bright spots and hopefully see some more stepping up.

Ball State sure was a tough series. As noted no hit Friday & 6 errors Saturday. Kent State next could be ugly especially after as hot as they have been and looking for blood after losing 2 of 3 to Miami last weekend. Really tough to win games with a double-digit team ERA and only 3 of our 19 pitchers with a sub 7.00 ERA.

Great to beat Marshall, a non-terrible Sun Belt team and local rival. Completely dominated in a sweep by Kent, allowing 42 runs over the 3 games. Another tough one with Miami coming up this weekend.

Agree. Going on the road to play at CMU not the most fun. CMU should be a good intermediate team. Really need to see them get one and competitive at a minimum for the others. Think the ante goes up to 2 games vs. Akron and UMASS
