A travel conscious schedule and not super challenging overall. Start with a trip to SC/GA/WV then it is 3 straight weekends in Athens, hope the early March weather cooperates.

Well, it has been topping 60 degrees for a couple of days in late December.

What does baseball do with next years roster limits, when they lose players, but gain possible scholarships.

Very underwhelming schedule if I'm being honest

I really fail to understand why OU’s schedule is consistently one of the weakest in the MAC for at least the last 10-15 years. Let’s not even factor in that they last flew to a game when?

Yes, I get it, money. D3 schools have more exciting locations to travel to and even teams to play on their schedule than this.

Its a good question but it most likely always boils down to costs. Ever since they installed the turf, I think the admin's motivation to spend more on travel has all but disintegrated. Home games in Feb is pretty crazy IMO but we're not the only MAC school to host that early, unfortunately. I also think networking comes into play as well as it relates to coaching staffs.

I'm not a super big fan of scheduling top 10 teams and spending the budget to get down there only to lose by 15+ runs. I don't think that really helps them get better and is ultimately a waste of time and funds. That being said, I certainly think there is plenty of room to beef up the schedule with some top mid majors that are within driving distance and I wouldn't put Wofford or West Georgia in that category.

Underwhelming schedule and very underwhelming results!

And to the poster about reduced roster but possibly scholarships. I’d put money on no increase in scholarships.

They had shit schedules before turf. Not they asking for full turf. Which will cost more money now because the structures they had to put in place for an infield.

Are you saying they want to turf the outfield as well? I'm assuming they didn't have the money to do the whole thing the first time and I think it looks like crap right now tbh. Nothing says poverty program like a half turfed field.

The way they’ve handled the field in general has been terrible. It looks worse and worse each time I’ve been back. No pride in even the simplest levels of upkeep.
