They were waiting on you to rattle their cage, taking the final 2 games of the series to win their first series since the improbably Kent series victory. 6-12 in the conference. With 15-0 BG next up on the schedule, we will likely be pretty well eliminated after the weekend.

Whats going on is pitching continues to be a problem. All 3 of our regular starters have struggled. Masters & Knapschaefer could maybe be considered average for the MAC if you're generous. The bullpen has been even worse, Zach Weber the only one with some sustained success.

Hats off to the bullpen yesterday. Starter does not record an out and gives up 6 runs against Dayton. We give up an unearned run in the 2nd then nothing the rest of the way and just 1 walk over the 8 innings. Something to build on???

Offense scratched back as best they could including a grand slam by Bryce Smith but lost 7-5.

Something got rattled today! I didn’t know they were playing the 27 Yankee’s this weekend

Ohio just gave Bowling Green its first MAC loss of the year and prevented the Falcons from tying a MAC all-sports winning streak record.

It seemed like a horrible matchup with BG having the best hitting in the league and Ohio's pitching struggling so bad. That showed with 14-5 and 26-5 losses in the first two games. But today, Bowling Green led 2-0 for 8 innings. Ohio scored 4 in the 9th to take the lead. Caleb Karll with a two-run single with two outs.

Blake Gaskey was great on the mound, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) in 6 innings with 7 strikeouts. Zach Weber pitched 3 shutout innings of relief, working around 3 walks and 2 hits. Again, this was against one of the top-hitting teams in the country, so that was a very encouraging pitching performance after two really bad days of pitching.

Really great to ruin BG's undefeated season. In a year where we are going nowhere, it is nice to have a memorable marquee win to hang your hat on.

Definitely a BIG win, doesn’t mean anything in the standings. But a confidence booster for sure.

And the pitching was good again in a midweek non-league 4-2 win against a decent Morehead State team.

If you would've told me we only scored 4 runs against Morehead State, I would've told you we probably lost like 20-4.

Yeah winning these last 2 games and allowing a total of 4 runs had to be about 10,000 to 1 odds. Hoping we are finding some dependable arms for next year.
